While home on my lunch break I caught a bit of Outside the Lines - TopicsExpress

While home on my lunch break I caught a bit of Outside the Lines on ESPN. They were talking about the investigation of Phil Mickelson by the Feds for possible insider trading. I heard something about this over the weekend as well. But this time for some reason it got my Spidey Sense tingling for the following reasons: -First of all, the FBI is handling the investigation. The FBI? Isnt this the kind of thing that the SEC is supposed to investigate? -Second, Phil is a celebrity and well-known athlete as well as being known as a Christian and...a staunch conservative. Plus hes rich. -Third, as I understand it, they first approached him directly at a recent tournament. Really? The Feds have the balls to directly approach a well-known public figure at his place of business? Without even going through his lawyers/agents? Something about this seems extremely off. I hope Im wrong but it wouldnt surprise if yet another well-known celebrity is being targeted for being conservative (and Christian to boot!). At the very least this reeks of another Martha Stewart kind of making an example of someone famous to strike fear into the rich (that whole thing stank to high heaven if you ask me). Thoughts?
