While im feeling very excited about this release I came to read and hear some different opinions about it. As far as I know, all the material in this album are taken from sessions by the band while making the Division Bell album in 1994. The disappointed fans say there is nothing new! Another frustrated group of fans say its because it sounds completely different than what they are used to! I understand that people have different tastes, thats for sure, but I just think that the time we are living now is very different from the days of the 90s. That was 20 years ago when people had more time to relax and listen for hours dedicated to their favorite bands and there were much less distractions. These days, I notice that people tend to jump very quickly to conclusions, judge fast before even listening to the whole album a couple of times. Listening to music while driving in hectic traffic, or while receiving and replying to tons of messages on various devices might be entertaining, but its definitely not reasonable to judge any work of art in these positions. The band in this particular case wont suffer the loss of any loyal fans. The tendency of low attention and forming a quick judgement about things can become a habit that ruin the quality of many things in this life.. not only music. Thats enough of that! time to press the replay button and enjoy this song again and again... -chusss
