While it is so easy for so many to protest against Police Officers and their perceived notions of discrimination and charges of abuse, take a minute to look at the other side of the spectrum and then judge. Officers are charged with making a decision in a split second often with at least one persons life on the line. No one comments and protests when a cop is shot or attacked by a criminal in an encounter. No one takes to the streets to remember that without law enforcements presence in big cities, you would undoubtedly have chaos and lawlessness running rampant. The mean streets are a jungle. Without someone brave enough to face the fact that at any point in time a criminal is ready to shoot and kill an officer to keep from getting arrested, what would happen? Dont get me wrong, a dirty cop is worse than cancer because they undermine their brothers and sisters who place their lives on the line every day to keep all of us protected from animals who could care less about the rest of us. What happened in Ferguson is sad but let us not forget that this gentle giant was a thug and he attacked the police officer right after he committed a crime. Video accounts and first person accounts attest to this. This is not a conspiracy. Sometimes you just have bad people. Maybe its not just race based but real facts. What happened to Abner Louima on the other hand is not excusable. That was disgraceful. Before you judge, see things from both sides of the fence. Are you ready and willing to do what these officers do on a daily basis? Could you?
