While many focus on the hustle and bustle of the Thanks Giving Day events around them.... Please take the time to think beyond this day. Let your thoughts and prayers include the many millions who have little or no water, let alone food. Lets consider the Farmers who provide all the Real foods (not made by chemical companies) and provide a whopping 17% of all jobs in the USA, This does not include the restaurants, Delis, Markets, and Produce depts that thrive as a result of the Agriculture industry. Lets remember that the many immigrants who folks tend to feel they should hate on may be responsible for getting these foods from the soil to your chosen market, including the planting, tending, harvesting, and packaging for shipping. I likely left out a great number of things we should be mindful of while we enjoy our day....the biggie for me....was that of our early Americans treatment of the indigenous peoples. To this day...not one treaty has been honored. SHAMEFUL ! This is not to suggest looking back or into current affairs and being bitter or hateful. I firmly believe we can do far better by uniting and putting our thoughts, prayers, energy, and efforts into creating the life and world we want for our children and the next generations. HAPPY THANKSGIVING ! I am grateful for yet another day to improve my life. For another day to be here to if I am blessed with the opportunity, to give aid to another human being or creature in need. One Cosmos One Planet One people Namaste.
