While most of the animals in our care at the moment are cats, we help a wide variety of animals and birds all over Nottinghamshire. Heres a sneak peak at the type of calls we get. No month is the same! The animals or birds are then taken to a vet for treatment or to specialist animal centres for care. If an owner cant be traced, cats and dogs are then fostered until they are rehomed, while wildlife and birds are released into the wild once recovered. - Hedgehog, eyes not opened and abandoned by mother. - Pigeon with damaged leg. - House Martin with suspected broken wing. - Badly injured cat, possible road traffic collision. - Kitten found, dehydrated and hungry. - Two kittens abandoned in a cardboard box. - Dehydrated hedgehog found. - Pigeon found with broken wing and leg. - Cat found with damage to back. - Lame hedgehog found. - Dove found by callers dog, unable to fly. - Pigeon found broken leg. - Pigeon with possible broken neck, but still able to move. - Very sick cat, malnourished and injury to back. - Six baby hedgehogs, nest disturbed and no sign of mother. - Racing pigeon with cut to neck and leg, possible broken leg. Unable to fly. So as you can see, we are very busy!
