While much of the nation is observing the second Monday of October - TopicsExpress

While much of the nation is observing the second Monday of October (October 13 this year) as a holiday honoring Christopher Columbus, the Wyoming Democratic has decided NOT to follow this tradition. Because of the atrocities committed by Columbus and his men against Native Americans, the Wyoming Democratic does not observe this holiday and instead allows staff to choose one paid floating holiday each year, in order to have the same number of paid holidays as the national party. Our office will be open on Monday, October 13, 2014. --Robin Van Ausdall, Executive Director
