While setting in the vets office in Ebensburg, which was full of animals and people, it was interesting watching and listening to people talking to and about their cat or dog. Listening to the conversations, reminded me of the love that humans have for their animals. They were telling stories about their pets and talking to them like in baby talk.....the bonding between the human and the pet was the elephant in the room. Another interesting observation was of a young man who came in with two dogs, which is not unusual. What was unusual to me is that he had strapped on his right hip a 1911 handgun in full view. Although it is legal to open carry in PA and I personally have a Utah and PA concealed carry weapon permit...that is the first time I have seen someone open carry into a business...just an observation..
