While the Confederate flag may not be intrinsically racist, it - TopicsExpress

While the Confederate flag may not be intrinsically racist, it represents the entirety of southern history, much of which was racist. There is a connection to racism and the confederate flag. People have the right to be offended, but they should not assume the motives of the person owning the flag, because it means something different to each person... Y is this even still a debate or conversation its pretty simple if some one was to do something tragic to lets say a lot of ppl and then wave a flag boasting their superiority or tying that particular event into that particular flag ppl would say 50 yrs later the person waving of showcasing that flag carry the same beliefs as the person or persons who carried out whatever the tragedy 50yrs prior for a lot of ppl this flag means a lot of things unfortunately when many see it the 1st thing thats associated to it is not Redneck not Good Ol country boy/girl not even rebel but the sons and daughters who still carry the tradition of racism in America me personally I would not want to even be connected with anything that could be viewed as such but to each its own this flag and the patriots that wore it died in battle can we allow this flag and a lot of the negatives associated with it throughout its history die with it....one of many definitions of the word Confederate: an accomplice, especially in a mischievous or criminal act. Do some research on the things you represent thanks ✌️
