While the Swachh Bharat Campaign deserves each ones full support, let us not forget to begin this campaign with cleaning our minds first. The habit of littering on the roads, and easing ourselves at any isolated corner should go. Secondly, hygiene and cleanliness are the two sides of the same coin. We need to inculcate the habit of rinsing our hands with soap before our meals, and also after we have handled currency notes. How do we know that those very notes have been handled by a leper before or by someone with contagious disease? And finally, today is also the birth anniversary of one of our most illustrious Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. Modi ji, kindly also seriously consider reviving the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan slogan. This year the rainfalls have been deficient, and we hope and pray that no farmer is compelled to take the extreme step of ending his life, as has been the case since past so many years. And today, newspapers have carried a news item, that three young Army officers died tragically in a chopper crash yesterday, and it is an open secret that the ill-fated cheetah helicopter had outlived its utility. So is the case with the other military hardware of all the three services.
