While the hard and dirty work happens out on the fireline, the NSW RFS State Operations Centre plays a critical role in the fire emergency. Agencies including Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Forests NSW, NSW Police Force, the Bureau of Meteorology and key support agencies such as electricity, transport and telecommunications work together from the centre. Emergency warnings are also sent out from State Operations through Emergency Alert, websites, our Fires Near Me app and the media.
