While the #ragtime genre was generally lumped in with Tin Pan Alley, the ragtime compositions of Scott Joplin elevated the art into acceptability within even society circles. Joplin passed on just before the end of the #GreatWar, but his published works were heard far and wide, played by cafe orchestras and at social functions. As it is late harvest time here in Grey County, the Peacherine Rag from 1902 seemed apropos :)
