While the rest of the world is busy talking about things like global warming, the war in Iraq, ISIS, economic crisis, the increase of minimum wage etc, etc, etc, there is a very perverse evil that is going on right here at home and is getting absolutely no notice. I speak of the bastardization of Star Wars by those at Disney. When Lucas Sold out, and make no bones about it, Lucas sold out huge, I started to notice things that didnt quite fit Star Wars as a franchise and one of the most amazing TRILOGIES, to ever grace the screen. It started out as plush toys, with overly large heads, then plush toys with similar, but not quite detail oriented features, then came the Pet costumes. I kid you not, you are able to get a Darth Vader costume for your dog/cat/ferret/whatever small creature you have around your house. Then I started to notice even more merchandise that didnt quite fit the image of Star Wars. I figured that it was just the typical sell out and that Disney was just trying to make a buck off of fan boys that were starting (in some cases) to have children. Thats business, so I let it go. However, there is a much larger perversion going on in the Star Wars universe. Attached is a video and if you follow the link, there are several more videos just like it that show just how little Disney thinks of Star Wars and the fandom which has been birthed of this fantastic saga. I ask all of you, Dark Side, Light Side, Ewoks, Wookies, Droids, troopers, and bounty hunters to boycott all things Star Wars. This is a travesty to our beloved trilogy and we should stand for this perversion no longer. Dont get me wrong, I am still going to watch the next run of movies, but I can say that I will not be paying for them. I will download them like every other freedom loving American and I will ensure that Disney does not get a dime of my money for doing such a thing to Star Wars.
