While this is not journalism per se, and has an air of propaganda about it, it makes a strong point about the role of women, and the extra burden they carry in conflict. So Id like to say that I support women in Syria, and around the world in asserting their rights to be fully equal citizens, treated with respect and dignity. Men in particular, please take a moment and consider the struggle of women in Syria on any side of the conflict, and reflect on how we can make changes in our own society here. Only by changing our own attitudes will we ever stop rape from being used as a weapon of terror.
