While training a service dog, we must remember to keep the ADA - TopicsExpress

While training a service dog, we must remember to keep the ADA laws in mind. Teaching the dog how to behave in public is only half of it. The other half is teaching tasks. A task is something that the dog physically does that mitigates the handlers disability. A PTSD dog who only relieves anxiety by simply being there and going places with the individual, is not legally a service dog under federal law.
