While visiting Disneyland yesterday and riding the train, several conductors came up to me to ask me questions about how my new book: The Ghost of Walt Disney & Me was doing. And all through the park, employees, and fans wanted to ask questions about the years of research I spent to create the book. It was a labor of love and I really miss so many of the Disney family members I knew who shared their own stories with me and helped me with the research, especially when it came to telling the stories of Walt and his barn. The park and the trains are so beautiful these days. They asked my friends and I if wed like to ride in the special caboose that Walt and Lillian and their family enjoyed, which was a thrill to be able to do. We felt like Disney royalty. Have any of you been in the personal train car, too? Im wondering if theyve been redecorated or if the furnishings are original to the days of Walt and Lillian. Happy Turkey Day Everyone!
