While waiting at a crosswalk 5 minutes ago, I had an interesting encounter: Woman: (eager to talk) Its HOT out! Me: Yes. Very. Woman: (more eager!) It hurts my leg. I have metal in my leg. Me: Wow. (somewhat bewildered) That must be hot. Woman: And I won $1000 on a scratcher lotto ticket today. Me: (better news) Thats awesome. Woman: I can make squeaky dog toy sounds with my mouth. Me: Those are great squeaky dog toy sounds. Not sure what to take away from this. Happy New Year.
