While walking along the streets of the resettlement site where we are conducting our study, a little kid approached me and said, Ate, nasaan na yung mga kasama mo? Rarape-in ko pa kayo. The kids height is just above my waist, so imagine how small he is. If he already has this way of thinking at an early age, what more can he do when he grows up? How far can he go? Where did he get this kind of mindset? Its just so frustrating. If partners do not have the capacity to guide and nurture their kids as they grow, might as well not have children at all.
