While walking to pick up Gregory at school, I almost got hit by an idiot driver that had a red light but was turning right. He pulled up past the stop line and only looked left for on-coming traffic. Fortunately, I pay real close attention to these drivers to know when it is safe to cross. I stopped and stood about a foot into the road and watch the surprised look on his face when he just gunned it out into the road without looking for pedestrians. He saw me and maybe have soiled his drawers as he almost turned right into me. I thought the walk signal at the cross-walk indicated that the pedestrian had the right of way. Since when did we decide that we dont need to look before we press the gas pedal?
