While watching Today Morning show I was angered by the report of quarantining of welfare recipients payments. Karl saying that it has worked in Aboriginal communities. The Aboriginal communities Karl would be talking about are in the NT and the Intervention that was implemented by the Liberal Government around seven or so years ago. The policy had the some Racial Discrimination Act clauses suspended to have the policy implement. The intervention or emergency response has started filtering through to other States in so many ways. Dont get me wrong I think some of the thing that have come from the intervention have worked however, the way it was implemented was fowl and repugnant to all people. That in this day and age a government would suspend Acts like the Racial Discrimination Act to implement any policy. This should be an alert to all Australian tax payers and voters. The government will govern despite of us.
