While watching X-Men: Days of Future Past in 3-D, I kept on thinking about Gregor Samsa and his famous metamorphosis but ended up relating the movie to the theme of The Garden of Forking Paths of Jorge Luis Borges. Apart from my wayward thinking, I also found that the movie heavily borrowed from The Matrix Trilogy in terms of plot, style as well as cinematography. But The Matrix Trilogoly is undoubtedly a movie series of a different level and should not be compared with this one.
