While watching the Funeral for Detective Wenjian Liu, I couldnt - TopicsExpress

While watching the Funeral for Detective Wenjian Liu, I couldnt help but notice some Police Officers turn their backs when NYC Mayor De Blasio spoke. It was later reported many Officers in uniform turned their backs. In my view, a funeral should be a service for the person no longer with us, not a stage to air ones grievances. It is physically impossible to turn your bank at the funeral, without turning your back on the funeral, isnt it? A funeral, especially one under these circumstances should have a single focus. I honestly believe these Officers turning their backs for what ever grievance they were trying to bring attention to, committed a gross disservice and disrespected the family of Detective Wenjian Liu. There is much more I would like to write about on this topic, however, out of respect for the family, and the great loss to the New York Police Department and the communities these officers served, I will save my other opinions for another day. Lord, please help ease the pain and suffering of the families of these to two men . . .
