While we agree, it isnt just the shortsightedness of this demand by the city thats the larger issue. Bigger picture is that the codes are limited in scope and unclear. Fix THAT! We E A S I L Y found codes and regulations from various cities online, so why cant one of our 3 city managers or one of our 5 city commissioners peruse the same? Why can we not simply amend our (antiquated) codes regarding signs and murals? Why must everything here be public, ugly and backward thinking? By in large, it is overly clear that small businesses take a back seat to chains and corporate entities, but we are at a new level of... Well put it this way, folks in charge could at least feign giving a flip.
