While working abroad many people actually give us alot of credit when they know that we are from Singapore. Its a country renowned for cleanliness, order and of course wealth. Friends abroad all told me not to mention that im from Singapore for fear that the local people will fleece me as its a country known for having rich people. Its a creditable image as Singaporeans abroad tend to be treated better and many stalls in foodcourt carry the sign board From Singapore below the brand name just to attract customers. So why are Singaporeans at home find it so difficult to get jobs or earn a decent salary when abroad we are treated like kings? Its a sickening paradox...
