Whiskers is a 7-year old front-declawed, neutered male cat whose owner has gone to assisted living/nursing care because of her condition. She had become unable to reliably care for him, so he was surrendered to the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County in Yanceyville, NC. Whiskers is very gentle, friendly, and accustomed to being a valued companion. He must go to a new home now, one that recognizes the limits for a declawed cat: no outdoor life and no cats with claws, and no dogs. He is basically defenseless. If you already have a declawed cat, he might be the perfect buddy! He came right up to me, even with the camera flashing in his face. An indoor cat can easily live 20 years, so he is relatively young still.
