Whiten teeth for just pennies: I do the baking soda and peroxide - TopicsExpress

Whiten teeth for just pennies: I do the baking soda and peroxide and well as the whitening pens.... Peroxide - Rinse mouth with hydrogen peroxide ($2 or less at any drug store) like you would a regular mouthwash. If your mouth is sensitive mix it with some water. Swishing it around will cause it to foam up and get the little crevices in your mouth. Since it’s a bleach you will also see that doing this will start to whiten your teeth over time. BUT it doesn’t taste good, and swallowing it could make your throat raw (a little accidentally is ok), so use caution if you have any throat issues like ulcers. Baking Soda - Make a baking soda paste by dipping your wet toothbrush into some baking soda. I generally use a little dixie cup and pour about a tablespoon of baking soda in there to use, then toss the cup. Brush normally. The baking soda has a very mild abrasiveness to it that will get into those little porous areas of your teeth. The nice thing about baking soda is that it’s totally non-toxic and dissolves well. Lemon Juice & Salt – you can make a whitening mouthwash using 3 parts lemon juice and one part salt. Mix well and swish around. Lemon juice has acids in it which will break down stains. Straws – prevent a lot of stains by using straws when possible. This helps bypass the front teeth. Even for coffee and tea! Water - After eating or drinking anything rinse your mouth with water. I have gotten used to drinking a bottle of water after every meal.
