Who Are the Racists: Conservatives or Liberals? Over the last six years, progressives have created a defensive blockade around Barack Obama and the liberal agenda by calling those who disagree or stand up against them “racist.” Is it a fair accusation or is it just political posturing? And, if it is political posturing, what does it say about the people making the charge? As a member of conservative African-American group Project 21, Derryck Green eloquently addressed the differences in layman’s terms, making it easy to understand in the video below. As Green makes clear, the racism charge is almost always a feeble attempt to shut down the conversation to paint the dissenter in a bad light and scare him from speaking again. In my opinion, America is not a racist nation nor is the majority of those who inhabit this land. To call someone a racist is a serious charge. Any red-blooded American who doesn’t subscribe to that thought pattern would consider this hurtful and demeaning. A racist is someone who believes that one person is superior (or inferior) to another person simply based on skin color. Conservatives, tea party members, grassroot republicans of all colors are accused by progressives of being racist on an almost daily basis and I find they do not know how to fight back against those accusations. I mentioned one day, “Isn’t it strange that racism comes in all colors but separates those same colors?” Typically, those who cry this word loudest are covering up facts and it’s a very dangerous game progressives are playing. We have to educate our families, our children against these charges. Some of our children don’t even know what a racist is nowadays. They think daddy is a racist because he didn’t vote for a black man to be president of the United States.
