Who Should Defend Musharraf? Dear Brothers and - TopicsExpress

Who Should Defend Musharraf? Dear Brothers and Sisters It’s beyond doubt that we almost all Chitralis have very soft corner and extra ordinary respect regarding Gen. Musharraf and we defend and protect his all actions whenever we get opportunity. Unfortunately as we do not have media access and simply we are not in a position to defend him in a high level so that higher authorities and particularly Pakistani nation can be motivated. Last night I was watching Capital Talk and Some Mawlana were sitting with Ahmad Raza Qusuri and it was very discouraging for all of us that Mr. Qusuri was totally failed to defend a leader like Musharraf. I suddenly thought what Chitralis can do for Musharraf? Then I answered to myself that we have already done what supposed to do. We elected a member to support him but not just for sit in the assembly hall putting cotton into ears and then saying I never heard to it. I think Chitralis have not elected an individual like Iftikhar rather showed their love for respect for Musharraf. Because we also know that Iftikhar has already gone through that experience before with a very appalling defeat by Mawlana Abdul Akbar Chitrali which clearly shows Chitralis love with Musharraf only. But I knew the situation before election that this gentleman will not be able to defend him in the parliament and ultimately create frustrations among the learned and informed individuals of Chitral. That was true and we observe it when our selected member hides himself from the media due to his limited knowledge regarding Pakistani politics and shaky confidence. Today I request Mr. Iftikhar beyond any political affiliation, please read the history of Pakistan particularly about Musharraf period and defend Musharraf as a single representative in the Parliament otherwise sitting in the parliament and becoming a passive listener is just wastage of time.
