Who are the Novorossians? 1. A bit of history: Novorossians - is a new ethnic group just being born on the territory of Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kirovograd regions and Crimea. Novorossian ethnicity is composed of representatives of different peoples: Ukrainians, Russians, Jews, Moldovans, Greeks, Bulgarians, Armenians. Therefore we detest fascism. This new ethnicity began forming relatively recently - in the 18th century, when the Russian Empire established order on these lands and began to settle and explore. Virtually all of the areas listed above were founded with the money of Russian rulers. Prior to that was two hundred years of chaos. Almost no one settled in the fertile lands rich in natural resources - there was nowhere to hide in the stepps from the Tatar-Turkish raids nor from presumptuous Cossacks. Only some homesteads and small villages could be found near the woods. But in the nineteenth century, after the annexation of Crimea and elimination of Zaporozhya Sich, the area began to flourish. Cossacks moved across the Danube, took the oath of allegiance to Emperor Alexander I, and were granted Kuban. In the second half of the nineteenth century Odessa was the third largest city in the Russian Empire, after Moscow and St. Petersburg. During the Civil War the Bolsheviks freevolously annexed Novorossia to Ukraine. In general, the Communists had an unexplained weakness for Ukraine, also gifting Crimea and Galicia. Then it seemed that Ukraine is an integral part of Russia. History has shown otherwise. Novorossia is not the Bandera Ukraine. We have a different history, geographic and socio-economic conditions, we have a different mentality. Our language - Russian or Surzhik (Ukrainian different from Galician Ukrainian). Most of Novorossians (unlike Galicians) - are urban dwellers. That means - dynamism and rationality. And industry. The basis of income for most of Novorossia comes from large industrial enterprises. Engineering, chemicals, shipbuilding, metallurgy, mining and processing of minerals - is the basis for the well-being of our people. And only secondary are cultivation and processing of agricultural products, construction, transport, trade, etc. 2. Novorossia today: Awareness of Novorossian ethnicity grew after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the coming to power of Ukrainians thieves. Novorossians did not welcome the changes in the new Ukraine. We do not understand why we should worship Bandera executioners and bow to Western countries. We do not understand why we should abandon the Russian language and friendship with Russia - the Mother of our people. We do not understand why it was necessary to pass into private hands the large and unique enterprises in metals and chemical industry. We do not understand why it was necessary to kill the tool and machinery manufacturing industry. We do not understand why it was necessary to make kelbasa from soy and other genetically modified products. And where is our merchant fleet - is also unclear. But most importantly, we do not understand and will never understand - the relentless pursuit of Galicians and Ukrainians brainwashed by them to kill our history. They impose on us their language, their culture, their national costumes, their idols, their values. They come to our cities, demolish our monuments and rename our streets. Do not do that, dear Zapadentsy. You see, you probably forgot how Khmelnytskys Zaporozhian Cossacks butchered the Uniates. So we can remind you.
