Who do you consider a successful person, (the one who you wish you can be like)? According to our Creator the following are the real successful people: -The ones who has taqwa (God consciousness ) [2:189, 3:130, 3:200, 5:35, 5:100] -ones who believe in unseen, day of judgment and the revelations, establish prayers, give in charity. [2:5] -Invite to good and forbid what is wrong [3:104] -Seek the means to be in the good graces of Allah and strive hard in His way [5:35] -Strive hard with one’s life and wealth in the way of Allah [9:88] -Refrain from intoxicants, gambling, games of chance, idolatrous practices, and predicting future by such means as arrows, raffles, horoscopes and omens [5:90] -Make the balance of good deeds heavier than the bad deeds [7:8, 23:102] -Are exceeding mindful of (the Commands of) Allah [8:45] -Have convictions (in Allah and His Laws and Commands); humbly and whole-heartedly follow Divine Commands; turn away from all that is senseless; are mindful of chastity and not giving way to desires; are faithful to the trusts and to the pledges; guards the Divine System of Salat and zakat [23:1-9] -Bow down (to the Laws of Allah), humbly submitting and conforming to the Commands of Allah and do al-khair [22:77] -Turn to (the Guidance of) Allah [24:31] -Turn to Allah, have conviction in His Laws and do deeds of righteousness [28:67] -Give to the relatives their God-given Right, and to the needy, and whose business has stalled, and who has lost his job, and whose hard-earned income is insufficient to meet the basic needs, and the homeless son of the street, the needy traveller and the one who has travelled to them for help [30:38] -Obey the Laws, Rules and Regulations imposed by Allah and His Messenger (the Islamic Authority who imposes them) [24:51] -Develop (Divine Attributes in) one’s ‘self’ as much as is humanly possible [87:14-15, 91:9] -Have taqwa, listen and obey (Allah’s Command), spend on others and save themselves from their own greediness [64:16, 59:9] -Seek Allah’s bounty and are mindful of (the Commands) of Allah [62:10] -Truly believe in Allah and the Last Day and NOT endear anyone who opposes Allah and His Messenger, even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their tribe [58:22] -Establish Salat and Just economic order of Zakat and believe in the hereafter [31:5-6] -Follow the Messenger, honouring him, supporting him and follow the Light (i.e. the Quran) that was revealed to him [7:157]
