Who in the world will say that Chittagong is the 2nd most important city of Bangladesh and one of the major growing metropolitan cities of Asia? I am feeling like I am at Thakurgonj or Chuadanga or somewhere like that after witnessing the electricity situation. Atleast one-fourth of the day there happens to be no electricity and since everything is capital bound by the Government this is supposed to occur.It is shameful to notice that there are high tech escalator foot over bridge in Dhaka yet not a single normal foot overbridge in the busiest areas of Chittagong (not to mention the huge fly overs of Dhaka). The point is,the Government should be more Decentralized.How can they give so much importance to the capital city and overlook everything else? Only an illiterate will say that all the major cities of our country has developed in the new decade along with Dhaka. (Only some parts have developed but thanks goes to the private sector)
