Who is better equipped to understand someones brokenness than someone who has been broken, or someones painful wounds, than one who has been wounded, or the feeling of rejection than someone who has experienced rejection? The priest and the levite who passed by the man on the roadside going from Jerusalem to Jericho didnt understand, and had no sympathy or empathy, nor cared to know what this mans condition was like. Jesus is the good Samaritan who came along and understood His purpose of coming to this earth in the form of man suffering the human condition of brokenness, suffering painful wounds, and knowing rejection; therefore He could relate to all of the conditions that we humans could possibly suffer, and it was Jesus who stopped and rendered the love, care, and aid that the dying man needed to be restored to health. For those of you reading this post who are suffering and regardless how far from God you have gone, let me assure you that no matter what you have done, where you have been, and how bad the stench of the hog pen is on you Jesus loves you and He has a people who understands what it is like to be where you are and they will love you unconditionally, accept you without reservation, and forgive you without exception!!!!! :-) kbm
