Who knew that working at a radio station could be so dangerous? - TopicsExpress

Who knew that working at a radio station could be so dangerous? Apparently a bird flew into our building yesterday and the poor thing could not find its way out. It kept hopping back and forth in a window sill trying to get out. Its mate was on the other side trying to help guide this poor misguided bird to freedom. The window it was attempting to fly out of is about 40 feet off the ground and to our knowledge has NEVER been opened before. It was after careful consideration and numerous phone calls to Animal Control, Arkansas Game And Fish, The Fire Department and anyone else we could think of, it became apparent that if this bird was going to make it, it was going to be up to us. Or rather, it was going to be up to Rick Christian. Rick was the only one brave enough to climb the ladder and lean it onto a brick wall built in 1905 to save this bird. But save the bird he did. With lots of WD 40, a screw driver, a hammer and a lot of grunting, the window was eventually lifted, the screen peeled back gingerly, and with the help of a steady stream of water, our feathered friend flew to freedom. Fly Bird.... Be Free! And ... Youre welcome!
