Who remembers Baxter? the grey and white Scottish Fold street cat that a local resident felt sorry for and so provided food and shelter? He came into care as an unknown character, he was neutered and vet checked, treated for all those parasites that cats can be afflicted with. After assessment it was decided he would be happiest as a mouser / working cat and he was put up for adoption. Along came Sandra and John - and it was love at first sight, Baxter even rolled over in a 360 show of affection. The look on his face as these special people left him behind, in apparent rejection, was just soul destroying. Little did Baxter know that his new family were off to the pet store to stock up on everything a cat could desire - including a bling collar! Baxter will always want his freedom, but now he has a place where he can come and go as he chooses.. this message came from his family today: I was a little worried because he figured out how to open the shop sliding door, but it seems he just goes out at night. He has already given me a dead mouse present and he continues to use his litter box and eat his food. He is such a snuggler. He is not scared of the dog either. We love him!
