Who remembers Pizza Stop on Sunrise Highway? Back in the 70s it was a Pizza Hut that failed miserably due to all the real pizzerias in Lindenhurst. It was vacant for a couple of years then someone opened it up as Pizza Stop in the 1976-1978 timeframe. Typical Italian restaurant but they had an all you can eat pasta dinner. You chose the pasta you wanted and the waitress brought it to you, then you went up to the salad bar and chose your own sauce. I think they usually had four choices. It closed down within 2 years and the building sat vacant until late 1984/early 1985 when it became Tangs.
