Who says you can’t have some fun while in the hospital? This is Pibber, who presented to our emergency department on Saturday night after ingesting a large amount of raisins. Raisins and grapes can cause kidney damage so IV fluids for several days are indicated to prevent this from occurring. Pibber insisted on bringing his ball with him and charmed anyone he could into playing fetch every time they came by his cage. Nothing could dampen this guy’s spirits! Thankfully he did very well and has no signs of kidney damage. Although we will miss him and his antics, we were very excited to watch Pibber walk out the door, with his ball in his mouth of course! Hopefully in the future he will stick to chasing his ball and stay away from things that are harmful to him.
