Who would have thought.... The Brazos River Authority (BRA), was regarded by many during the 60s and 70s as the catalyst for economic boom in Granbury. Many of the original land owners around what is now the lake became super wealthy. Hood County, at that time, prided themselves in working with the BRA for helping to create Lake Granbury WITHOUT taxpayers money or handouts from Washington as it was referred to. Today, in stark contrast, we give a handout to the new residents of Hood County to sue the very agency who was instrumental in growing the community as we know it today.
