Whod have thought? An email was sent to the work email of a club member on Thursday last and would ya just look at this; slightly doctored of course to shorten it and the person (woman in 40s) asked to remain un-named. My friend and I were in Tiles Bar two Saturdays ago and at the risk of sounding prejudice, we both thought the worst when we realised Group of Irish guys and a football team were standing by our table ... we thought it would be like a messy stag party ... we could not have been more wrong though. These 5/6 lads were hugely polite, well-mannered and were very courteous when we would be looking to leave or re-enter our table again. Some spoke briefly to us and I was amazed to learn that few (if any) knew each other back in Ireland, but that they all moved here, work here and came to know each other through Gaelic football ... My friend and I left as we had to get a train home and we did so full of compliments about your teams boys that we were that night. Lovely lads. We wish your team the very best in the future. So, on that note. Take a bow: Damien Holahan, Daniel OBrien, Jonathan Joseph Foley, Damien Keane, his mate Ronan and anyone else we missed there.
