Wholly crap... what a frustrating evening. A fourth personal vehicle belonging to the permanent residents (not including 2 snowmobiles) since we started this campaign is severely mechanically damaged by inexperienced drivers. This time the drive shaft in a 4x4 Chev pick up is hanging out because someone panicked when one of our resident dogs ran in front of a vehicle and he hit the ditch. breath... breath... breath... The last time this happened during this past summer a transmission was blown on our trusty Ford steed because the driver wasn´t comfortable with changing gears and drove it in 1st gear until the transmission failed. A replacement used transmission for the Ford is worth more than the pick up itself is. The Ford sits on the side of the road yet because the transmission wasn´t fully removed and it is up on blocks. One of the newer snowmobiles still sits with a blown engine because a supporter tried going against the specific directions of the owner (in the owner´s absence) and poured unmixed fuel into the tank and blew the engine :(
