Whose to Blame? In times of great frustration how easy is it to - TopicsExpress

Whose to Blame? In times of great frustration how easy is it to jump to wrong conclusions? How often do we blame others for our trials and suffering? Many times we make wrong assumptions about our circumstances and often do not accept responsibility for our own behaviors. How can wrong assumptions possibly lead to correct conclusions? All too often we take our limited and narrow experiences and whitewash our existence. We jump to conclusions about life, about people. It is a good idea to remember that more often than not we are lacking all the details, all the facts. We make decisions and take on attitudes while the jury is still out. How often do you blame God for your circumstances? God wants the very best for our lives; that does not mean that things will always go the way we think they should. When my father (who knew the Lord) was dying of cancer in 1993 it would have been easy to blame God on my lack of understanding. As painful as the circumstances were, I witnessed the rest of my family give their lives to the Lord, which in turn gave them some peace in spite of their pain. In fact, in many ways it turned our family around. God chose not to eliminate the experience but He did use it. Even when you are going through great pain it doesn’t mean that God is absent. As difficult as it may be and ven though we may not understand it, there is a greater good that can come from it. I, for one, thank God for that! Think About That! -PE
