Why I am voting YES I am exited and proud that I am part of the movement that will bring about a positive Scotland for future generations. History will look back at this time as a second enlightenment. We have the gift to give our children and all future generations a fairer society that has equality and compassion at its heart. It wont look to the world with ideas of colonial control and profiteering. Instead it will offer the world a friend and neighbour. An inspiring partner with ideas and values that will not only be desirable but warmly welcomed. History tells us that Scotland is capable of shaping the world for good. What we did for Nelson Mandela is one example. Its in our DNA! The whole world is watching and waiting for us to join them as an equal member. It might be bumpy for a few years. There will be some transitional costs. But we will be 99% of current wealth without the oil and 110% with the oil. We might have to put off buying a new tv or go a cheaper holiday or keep the same trainers for a few more months but what a small price to pay to be a proper grown up nation. We shouldnt allow greed and material belongings to stand in the way of a society that benefits all. If those around you are happy it is more likely youll be happy! When my time comes, the satisfaction of leaving my descendants something that is fair, equal and honest will see me die a happy man.
