Why I cant grasp creationism : On this planet we have discovered around 2 million species. (If this number doesnt suit you, insert your preferred value) Of these species we have a yearly extinction rate of .01% to .1% I will use the lesser in value for this calculation. Reverse the extinction rate. If young Earth is 10,000 years old and we now have around 2 million species on our planet, with 20,000 species a year going extinct, that means 10,000 years ago we would have around 202 million species on new earth. All being supenaturally created within 6 days. Just to collect the souls of only one species? This calculation is allowing the exemption of the flood. Imagine how many species would have been lost in the great flood. For absolutely no reason. why all the wasted energy? Even by the time of Noah with the extinction rate starting from year one, it would have been a physical impossibility to load a fraction of 202 million species on to a man made vessel of any scale. So how did we end up with the number of species we have on earth if we are losing a percentage of them at the rates we are? How many species were placed on this massive vessel, millions? In pairs? And not one species parished in 40 days and 40 nights? What would have been the point of wasting Noahs energy to collect something that wasnt going to make it anyway? Geographical separation of similar species: How after the flood did all similar species get to different continents and islands across the globe and be so diverse? As well as unique in adaptation to their respective environment? .......Without evolving. I just dont get how someone can believe that this universe was created on such a massive scale with so many insignificant, undiscovered, as well as pointless aspects to this creation of Gods environment for man. As I see it God is not very energy efficient in the aspect of human soul collection. Why create such a massive scale as in the universe to aquire something that has no physical value? Why would God create so many pointless species that have nothing to do with the soul of a human? Its almost as if you believe in creation because it is impossible to prove you are wrong because of faith, hope, and love. None of which can be observed on a molecular level or any aspect other than your own mind. I also find it odd that someone who constantly calls people fools, morons and such derogatory terms, blindly follows something he cant prove. Defense mechanism? Thomas, I think you should practice being more involved in conversation instead of being a constant source of insult and scientific inaccuracies. Evolution is science based. Proven through evidence. Creation is a religious belief Proven through faith. Something that cannot be measured or observed. Why is it that God commands blind faith? What is he hiding that he doesnt want You to figure out? When someone tells me nothing to see here I look. I may not always understand what I see, but I at least observe my environment and am able to form an opinion which leads to experiment, which leads to evidence. If creationists want to have scientific conversation, thats fine. Just please bring to the table something that can be observed and physically proven.
