Why I fell in love with para motoring and stopped renewing my PPL - TopicsExpress

Why I fell in love with para motoring and stopped renewing my PPL (Private Pilots Licence) after 39 years............. It costs less than RM 10 an hour to fly a Paramotor compared to nearly RM 800 an hour to fly a Flying Club single engine plane. With a Paramotor, you simply load you Paramotor engine and your wing into the boot of your car, drive out to any open space or a beach somewhere, take 15 minitues to assemble everything and do your safety checks, fly 3.5 hours on a RM20 tankful of petrol that you buy from any petrol station, land, take another 15 minutes to repack everything into your car boot, drive to a tehtarik stall for some Teh-O-ice Limau kurang manis, and then drive home after your flying fix for the week. And I am a near septuagenarian grandfather with 14 grand kids. Whats your excuse for staying home, hunched over your laptop on FB, reading Malaysiakini and unreasonably heaping venom on Najib and Rosmah for every thing that tickles your ultra extreme sense of self righteousness ? Come on. Get a life. I dont like them very much either but Ive learned to tolerate the things I cannot change, savor the parts that are good, and fly a Paramotor to be reminded that life actually, is really great ..... :)
