Why I love the NHS. Recently I had a very traumatic experience with my health, though ongoing as an outpatient, it has reaffirmed my love and commitment to the NHS, its services, staff and the principles of its existence. From the moment the ambulance arrived, to the days I spent as a patient in the ward under close observation, to the moment I was discharged as an outpatient , the staff, the service and passion was something not motivated by finances but a true belief by the staff in the NHS and what it gives to us all. We are in a time when our NHS is being attacked, dismantled and facing a disaster in the form of privatisation. As someone who has seen my father, grandfather and countless friends and families lives saved by the NHS, it is now more than ever that we must fight against the austerity and cuts we face that would have any negative effect on the services and greatness of our NHS. Next year the UK has a choice between a Party which is committed to the NHS, and candidates like myself who will work and fight for a better financed and resourced NHS, and that of a Party committed to dismantling and privatising one of the, if not the, greatest achievements of this country. Stand with the NHS.
