Why I think Munya is wasting time and resources in his quest for a referendum: 1. While some counties like Nyeri used 30% of their allocation on development last financial year, Meru governor barely used 2% for development. 2. While some governors have created revenue generation projects, our governor is promoting dependency syndrome yet leaders are elected to solve problems. I liken him to a son who when given money plunders it and comes for more instead of investing to end the dependency cycle. 3. Before he asks for more money he should tell us how he used what has been allocated to him already 4. Increasing allocation from 43% to 45% doesn’t require a referendum that will take a lot of resources. The guy is just making noise to divert attention from his failures 5. Why is it that performing governors are not wasting their time on this thing 6. The national mood is against the referendum with many leaders going against it, including CORD governors like Joho, Kidero etc 7. The governors started agitating for referendum after being told to account for the money that had been allocated to their counties. Munya is not exception. Munya should sit down in office and work innovatively and leave politicking to MPs and Senators.
