Why, Jesus asked, do you call me Lord but dont obey me? He is our Lord to the extent we believe in him, to the extent we obey him, and he came preaching repentance from sin as the one means of salvation from sin and promising the essential help of the Holy Spirit in a sinners efforts to repent in obedience to him. Our war with our own willingness to sin does not end in a day or a year but continues for our mortal lifetime. Have you chosen to enter the war against your own sins? To do so is the one way to be saved from your sins and experience the salvation Jesus came to bring to his Fathers wandering children.
