Why Monsanto is the worst company on the face of the earth? What makes Monsanto ? Monsanto is a multinational covering the food market , uses a series of transgenic seeds for their crops and also covers the global market for pesticides. Monsanto has also been criticized for limiting the variety of seeds, and therefore crops on the market , most unfortunately none of these ejemplosno compared to other actions and creations in which the multinational has been involved : 1. Monsanto was involved in the creation of the first nuclear bomb in World War II and operated a nuclear plant in the eighties for the U.S. government . 2. In 1944 Monsanto began with the creation of DDT , a pesticide that was banned after 1968 in Hungary , Norway and Sweden in 1970 , USA in 1972. During the Stockholm Convention in 2004 was banned for general use , as it accumulates in fatty tissues and milk and cause irreparable damage to the kidneys and liver. 3. During the Vietnam War , Monsanto was one of the 7 companies that gave Agent Orange to the U.S. government (though its formula a hundred times stronger than the other ) as part of its program of Chemical Warfare . The Vietnamese government estimates that because of Agent Orange and 400,000 people died in the following year means a million babies were born with defects. 4 . Bovine somatotropin (abbreviated as BST ) is an artificial growth hormone widely used in Brazil , the U.S. and Mexico . It has been banned in the rest of the world because it has been linked to health problems ( how cancer). The hormone is used by Monsanto . 5 . The use of aspartame was approved in 1974 and 1998 was the main cause of complaints related to additives . The non-caloric sweetener cause headaches, diarrhea , mood changes , vomiting etc. . has also been linked to cancer and diabetes . Monsanto NutraSweet founded the company in 1980 and enjoyed a monopoly poisonous calorie sweeteners few years . 6. Since the nineties the variety seeds (and therefore how crops ) has declined 90% since Monsanto has been buying all the seeds and sell exclusively they have genetically manipulated . The problem with the latter is that not only purchased much of the organic seed , but have been buying companies that sell seeds and thus have reduced the number of seed -hence food. 7. Monsanto s solution to the death of bees was not to analyze and renew their toxic farming methods. These are too harmful to wildlife by pollinating plants which have affected entire ecosystems . Instead they have focused on a completely unnatural approach : bionic bees. So : Is Monsanto the worst company in the world ? Probably so, but this is largely because we allow and even encourage you to buy their products instead of supporting local and organic producers. The problem is that Monsanto is difficult to detect their crops , we see in the supermarket tomatoes or apples who say Monsanto. To avoid eating their products (or those of other multinationals such as Cargill , Halliburton , Bechtel, and De Beers) must focus on eating only organic products. Processed foods will undoubtedly have a product / GM ingredient, bred and raised retaining chemicals and pesticides. Some of the brands that use Monsanto products , we should avoid at all costs are:
