Why Mr. Modis rally today is a Flop Show: A rally is supposed to serve any of the following three purposes. BJP failed miserably on all three counts. 1. A rally can be a show of strength. Given the resources and funds pumped for the event, it should have been successful. - It actually turned out to be a show of no-confidence by the people of Delhi. Media sources claim the strength to be around 20k to 30k. 2. A rally is intended to project or establish a new face for elections. - It turned out that the PM could only project Venkaiya Naidu. Were waiting to see if he is projected as the CM candidate. 3. A rally is supposed to launch a campaign plank or make announcements for the people. - We didnt get to hear anything of that sort. A) No declaration on statehood. B) JJ colonies will now have to wait till 2022. C) No reduction in electricity bills. D) No confirmation in regularisation of unauthorised colonies. The multi-pronged failure of this much anticipated and much touted rally could become the turning point against the BJP.
