Why are we poor in electronics hardware? We are too good in - TopicsExpress

Why are we poor in electronics hardware? We are too good in writing hundreds of lines of codes starting from” # include- through- void main –to- } ” but we are too poor in real hardware knowledge. This has been clearly understood by the western world and that is why they developed Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM 32 etc with a view to kill the hardware design interest in an engineering student so that they sell them at exorbitant prices in Indian market because they know they cannot beat Indians in software. Unfortunately we have also imitating them with Mango Pi, Guava Pi etc. 99% of passed out engineers will fail to design a simple Ohm’s law related voltage divider with a variable resistor for typical applications. None of our engineering colleges including IITs rank within 100 in worldwide survey. This is also is the reason why we import almost all electronic hardware in defense , telecom etc. While great visionary Sam Pitroda started design and manufacturing in India, the EPABX, western world was selling us at Rs 33,000/- per line. After C-Dot of Sam Pitroda started manufacturing at Rs 3000/- per line , those companies brought down their prices to Rs 2000 from 33,000/- This is how the western world loots us in all hi-tech hardware. A card that costs to them $10 , they sell us at $10,000. When are we going to understand this?
