Why are we still not controlling immigration? I realize that most of our ancestors were also immigrants but we have run out of ways of supporting all of the legal and illegal immigrants in this country. The immigrants of old were mostly self-supporting and too many of those immigrating today are not. My great-grandfather on my paternal grandfathers paternal side immigrated from Denmark and my grandmother on my paternal side immigrated with her family from England. My grandmother was 13 at the time and obtained a job to help her family. There are simply not enough jobs in this country to support all of the familys who want to come here. Perhaps they could stay in their countries of origin if only our government hadnt destroyed some of their countries with their endless invasions and meddling. Time to stay out of other countries and work to make this country better. There is much that could be done here with our troops to improve living conditions and the infrastructure, among other things.
