Why are you supporting either President Goodluck Jonathan or General Buhari? After observing the reasons majority of Nigerians are jostling for either of the two major contenders, I can not but shake my head for them. Unto the people from the Niger Delta and the South-east, their support for the President is based on the fact he is their son; whether he is governing well or not he must go for a second time. To some other people, their support for the President is based on religion. Because the incumbent President is a Christian, he must have a second term; they dont just want to see a Muslim President in Aso Rock. They are happy seeing the President of Nigeria in Jerusalem with the Pope-like cap on his head like a Rabbi laying hands on the historical wall. While the supporters of General Buhari from North are routing for him because they felt that the North was cheated by having just three years of presidency since 1999, especially with the death of Yaradua when they expected a northerner to return to power in 2011. To some others, because Buhari is a Muslim they felt that Aso Rock is an exclusive preserve of a Muslim President no matter what happen. They are happy seeing their President making pilgrimage to Mecca and observing the ritual of throwing stones at (Asetani) Satan. If you are a Nigerian youth with at least Secondary School education and you fall into this category, I am happy to tell you that the investment in education on you is a waste. You have to return all the money your parent, guardian or sponsor spent on your education to the last kobo. If you are supporting either of the two contenders based on any reasons other than performance, you are a disgrace to your generation. Doing the right thing for the wrong reason is also tantamount to doing the wrong thing.
